Position Description

SRCTec is currently seeking a high-energy, results-oriented senior quality engineer to drive improvements, solve problems and promote data-based decision making support of complex assignments where little precedent exists.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance
    • Provide leadership-level quality engineering support of manufacturing with minimal supervision
    • Understand and resolve customer complaints and concerns
    • Collaborate with other engineering functions supporting product validation
    • Technical review of drawings, assembly instructions and work plans
    • Lead improvement initiatives to mitigate risks to production and the management system
    • Lead route cause analysis on failures and facilitate corrective action
  • Data Management
    • Retrieve, transform and interpret manufacturing data into actionable information
    • Routinely apply statistical analysisto manufacturing processes to identify opportunities
  • Communication
    • Communicate with suppliers to ensure requirements are consistently met
    • Summarize data, draw conclusions and communicate to all levels of the organization
    • Support customers and defence contract management agency (DCMA) during product source inspection activities

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline (computer science, mathematics, statistics, elecrical enginerring preferred)
  • Six or more years of related work experience
  • Familiarity with complex electronics manufacturing (radar applications a plus)
  • Demonstrated root cause analysis and application of structured problem solving (Six Sigma)
  • Highly proficient with statistical software (Minitab or Advanced MS Excel)
  • Passionate, confident and flexible approach to quality
  • High level of responsibility and ownership for product quality
