Position Description

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a continuous improvement specialist. The continuous improvement specialist will be responsible for leading process improvement teams at the Enterprise level to streamline and enhance processes, which will lead to improved business execution. This position will support the sustainment and continued development of our quality management system at SRC, Inc.


  • Plan, perform and implement continual improvement initiatives that include Lean Six Sigma and Value Stream methodologies
  • Develop metrics that provide data for process measurement and identify indicators for future improvement opportunities
  • Facilitate continual improvement initiatives/projects and accountablity for tracking and reporting progress
  • Calculate cost reductions and/or various analyses to determine optimal method
  • Organize, lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams
  • Apply change management and communication techniques to ensure effective organizational changes
  • Train, mentor and coach at all levels of the organization on how and when to use Lean Six Sigma methodologies/tools
  • Formal root-cause analysis and process mapping for new process development

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum three years of experience with Lean initiatives, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Experience in identifying areas of improvement and planning for and leading Lean initiatives
  • Must be self-motivated, a self-starter, and able to keep track of multiple activities at any given time
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at any level of the organization as needed
  • Must be a certified Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio are essential for success in this position

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
  • Experience with change management methodologies
  • Experience with engineering, research and development, or manufacturing environments is a plus
  • Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, CMMI or comparable is preferred
