Position Description

SRC is currently seeking an entry-level biologist/toxicologist for a non-laboratory position in our Arlington, VA, office. This scientist will review toxicological and ecological studies and contribute to the development of hazard characterizations, risk assessments, and toxicology information systems in our Environmental Health Analysis business area. This is an office-based position that will support various programs for the United States Environmental Protection Agency and related agencies.   • Extract and summarize information from scientific studies on health and environmental effects of chemicals
  • Assess reliability of scientific data
  • Populate information systems with data related to the health and environmental effects of chemicals
  • Interact closely with other SRC scientists and SRC's clients

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, toxicology, ecology, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with others as part of a project team
  • Course work or experience in toxicology, ecotoxicology, chemistry, physiology, pharmacokinetics, epidemiology, and/or statistics is desirable
  • Applicants are required to submit a cover letter, transcripts, and a writing sample

Security Clearance Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
