Position Description

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a facility security officer for our SRCTec, LLC Syracuse, N.Y. office.

Responsibilities

  • Overall security program at the SRCTec, LLC office
  • Manage all functions of the industrial security program, i.e. physical security, information systems, personnel processing, education and awareness, investigations, operations security (OPSEC), and communications security (COMSEC) operations
  • Ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
  • Comply with all corporate policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)/export regulations for the facility/manufacturing area
  • Provide support to the SRC corporate security office
  • Work professionally with all internal and external customers to resolve security issues and any changes to government policy and challenges of those changes
  • Establish a collaborative working relationship with SRC organizations, specifically facilities, information technology (IT), human resources, corporate communications and operations

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and five or more (5+) years of experience, or an associate degree and eight or more (8+) years of experience
  • Candidate must have facility security officer (FSO) experience in industrial security as well as experience in DoD Special Access Programs (SAP) and Special Compartmented Information (SCI)
  • Must be familiar with the contractor personnel security clearance processes such as Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) or National Industrial Security System (NISS)
  • Must have a working knowledge of: DoD Manual 5220.22M NISPOM; DoD Manual 5200.01, Vol 3, DoD Information Security Program: Protection of Classified Information; DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program; DoD 5200.01, Vol 4, DoD Information Security Program; Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI); DoD Instruction 8510.01, Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT); (ICD) Intelligence Community Directives: specifically ICD 703, 704, 705  
  • Must have basic IT skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Candidates must also be proactive and able to perform in a dynamic environment and able work independently
  • Travel required approximately 15 percent

Security Clearance Requirements

An active Secret security clearance and in scope background investigation are required.
