Position Description

SRCTec is currently seeking a supplier quality engineer. The selected applicant will play a crucial role in supply chain management in the areas of supplier selection, qualification/requalification, first article inspection, corrective actions, overall performance tracking, and communication, as well as development efforts. In this role, you will collaborate with manufacturing engineering, materials, purchasing, design engineering and program management to ensure that quality requirements are understood and applied.


  • Coordinate and lead efforts to solve complex problems that will require involvement with customers, company and suppliers
  • Act as liaison between customers, company and suppliers to solve concerns and problems
  • Assist manufacturing engineering and purchasing in alternate source strategies and initiatives
  • Request, monitor and confirm supplier corrective actions
  • Conduct supplier qualification and surveillance audits
  • Identify and implement plans to improve performance by reducing cycle time, material coats, increased flexibility, capability and customer satisfaction of business critical suppliers
  • Lead and/or participate in continuous process improvements
  • Aid suppliers, where necessary, with the generation of control plans/Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), responses to corrective actions and overall development efforts
  • Provide input and/or approval for procedures and work instructions
  • Provide training, internal/external, as necessary
  • Participate/present in management review meetings
  • Generate trip reports as needed

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
  • Six or more years of quality engineering experience, ideally with an ISO-compliant electronics manufacturer
  • Must possess excellent organizational, leadership, communication, project management, change management and computer skills
  • Experience in either a high volume production environment, or in the assembly of highly engineered hardware/software products with low to medium volume production desired
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing and knowledge of cables/harnesses, mechanical measurement, torque requirements and machined components preferred

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in printed circuit boards (bare board) and board assemblies
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification
  • Knowledge of electronics systems or radar/radio frequency (RF)
