Position Description

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a supply chain quality assurance manager/director. This organizational leader will be responsible for implementation of world class supplier quality management systems, methodologies, assessment, performance management, and tools. A primary focus of this individual will be to drive a cross functional team to ensure the development and implementation of best practices across all suppliers. In this role, you will collaborate with manufacturing engineering, materials, purchasing, design engineering and program management to ensure that quality requirements are understood and applied.


  • Responsible for delivering innovative supply chain quality solutions to business challenges
  • Develop and implement best in class supply chain quality processes to deliver maximum value to the business
  • Collaborate with supply chain management to establish and maintain a highly effective supplier quality management program to assure the company’s suppliers meet quality, delivery and cost objectives
  • Interface with suppliers during supplier/component qualification and production phases, promoting on-going development and improvement
  • Maintain the approved supplier list and implement the use of internal systems for purposes of identifying and resolving supplier quality problems
  • Administer Corrective Action Request (CAR)-based systems resulting in successful resolution of chronic and/or systemic supplier performance issues
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to ensure continuous improvement with respect to supplier quality performance
  • Ensure proper identification and flow-down of customer requirements to suppliers
  • Responsible for performing process validation audits at critical suppliers

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree desirable
  • Minimum 10 years combined experience required in quality assurance and supplier management positions with at least five (5) years in a senior manager/director role
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools (Black Belt preferred)
  • Intimate knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management systems
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of supplier management strategies
  • Experience with quality systems and process/technical audits and assessments
  • Proficiency in statistical process analysis and process improvement tools such as Design of Experiment and Six Sigma is highly desired
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Strong customer and continuous improvement focus
  • Must be a visionary as well as an analytical thinker with a proven track record successfully building highly effective teams and implementing best practices
  • Data-driven decision maker with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50 percent of the time
