Position Description

SRC Inc. is currently seeking experienced systems engineers for our electronic warfare and communications systems engineering group. We have multiple openings and can accommodate team members with varying levels of experience and leadership requirements. SRC is a leader in the development of ground-based electronic warfare (EW) systems for the U.S. Army, providing a spectrum dominance capability for the warfighter.

Our diverse tasking will allow engineers with any of the following skillsets to be successful on our team:

  • System Design Engineer
    • Leverages EW experience to understand customer requirements and concept of operations (CONOPS) to effectively decompose design into subsystems
    • Provides team leadership role ensuring communication and collaboration on multi-disciplinary team
  • Communications Systems Engineer
    • Proficient in digital signal processing, radio frequency (RF), and communications concepts and how they relate to system design
    • Experience with MATLAB for system analysis
  • Electronic Warfare Engineer
    • Familiarity with electronic warfare support (ES)/electronic protection (EP)/electronic attack (EA) as well as electronic countermeasures (ECM)/electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM) and how they apply to electronic warfare
    • Able to apply knowledge in other EW domains to SRC EW missions
  • Software-Defined Radio Engineer
    • Proficiency with software-defined radio (SDR), commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), or otherwise design principles
    • Experience with Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) hardware and USRP Hardware Drivers (UHD), or government off-the-shelf (GOTS) SDR interfaces

Responsibilities

  • Technical Responsibilities
    • Developing trade studies, system architectures, innovative algorithms, system requirements, and design specifications
    • Performing system simulations, modeling and data analysis (via MATLAB and/or Python)
    • Completing system integration and test starting at lab integration and completing with field test events and customer demonstrations
  • Leadership Responsibilities (as applicable)
    • Providing program leadership for our teams, giving guidance on managing cost and schedule for complex systems
    • Collaborating with customers in the Department of Defense as well as industry to define system capabilities and functionality for future EW systems
    • Interacting with stakeholders both internal and external to the organization to ensure customer satisfaction
    • Participating in business development activities, such as development of marketing briefings, white papers, and proposals, including cost estimates

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or a relevant degree
    • A master’s degree in electrical, computer or systems engineering is preferred
  • At least two years’ experience in systems engineering, data analysis or digital signal processing
  • Strong written and oral communications, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience with team leadership, mentoring or program management is required for leadership roles
  • Some travel required (approximately 10 percent) to provide support for field tests, demonstrations and customer meetings
