SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a senior systems engineer to support research and development (R&D) projects in the intelligence communications (IC) group in Chantilly, Va. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to make both technical and managerial contributions to R&D projects involving communications and radar technologies. The IC group is a multi-disciplinary engineering team, allowing the senior systems engineer to make a significant impact on the operation and direction of the group.
- Serve as a key member of the leadership and technical team within the IC group
- Use engineering expertise in your field of choice (systems engineering, radio-frequency hardware, embedded software, or digital electronics) to develop cutting-edge products
- Lead and contribute directly to business development efforts such proposals, white papers, and request for information (RFI) responses
- Technical leadership (internal R&D and external contracts) by overseeing the technical aspects, budget, schedule and customer relationship to ensure success
- Act as primary technical point of contact with a set of customers
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Reduced-SWaP hardware design
- Signals intelligence (SIGINT)/signals analysis
- Radar/synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system design
- Software-defined radio design
Five or more years of relevant management and/or technical leadership experience
Proficiency with MS Office tools
Strong written and oral communications skills
Strong and effective interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent people skills (high emotional intelligence)
Ability to travel 10 percent
Eligibility for clearance/access to TS/SCI, existing TS/SCI strongly preferred
Security Clearance Requirements
An active Top Secret security clearance and current investigation are required.
