Position Description
SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a director of international business development in the Central Command (EUCOM: Europe/NATO region). As director, you will be reporting directly to the vice president of international business and have the responsibility as the lead individual for business development and customer relationship establishment and maintenance for the European region as defined by the U.S. DoD European Command (EUCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR). This includes all countries in the geographic region as defined under the EUCOM AOR plus NATO. The director will also be responsible for establishing and achieving pipeline content, contract awards, and revenue and profit goals for the assigned region.

  • Serve as the day-to-day SRC executive, voice and face of SRC, Inc. for the EUCOM AOR, and act as the “voice of the customer” for all market verticals in the region
    • This will require the director to have or quickly develop a technical comfort and familiarity with SRC’s products and capabilities that will support individual engagement with both SRC internal business and product and technical teams, and the ability to successfully present individual technical credibility to potential customer programs and technical personnel
  • Identify, establish and maintain professional relationships with the key stakeholders, customers, representatives and partners across the assigned regionsDefine, describe, generate, implement and keep current a EUCOM account plan including the strategy and tactical actions required to identify and develop the highest priority countries, market verticals, and customers within the assigned region
    • This includes the creation, generation, coordination and implementation of a network of international representatives and/or partners in each priority country across the assigned AOR
  • Generate, maintain and prioritize, via proactive use of the SRC Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, an active pipeline of opportunities across the assigned region
  • Proactively establish, grow, maintain and coordinate internal relationships with SRC stakeholders, at all levels, required to support all business activities in the assigned region
  • Proactively seek and obtain all necessary U.S. export authority to support all business efforts across the assigned region
    • This includes early identification of all required export licensing needs in each country and for each market/customer vertical
    • In addition, the director will establish a solid working relationship with the SRC International Trade Compliance group

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technically relevant business degree, preferably with technical/engineering experience in the radar and electronic warfare domains
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in face-to-face, boots-on-the-ground, international business/business development with local government entities in the EUCOM AOR, with an existing and current Rolodex of contacts and relationships with national military, security entities, and industries across the region
  • Proficient, highly knowledgeable and experienced in all facets of U.S. export regulations and compliance including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)
  • Demonstrated, detailed knowledge and experience of both foreign military sales (FMS) and direct commercial sales (DCS) processes, procedures and practices in the assigned region
  • Ability to travel internationally, across any and all countries in the assigned region up to 50 percent of the time
  • This includes the ability to support a flexible work week/hours schedule that will support the time zone and business culture practices of the assigned region and countries
  • Ability to work effectively, individually and independently with limited day-to-day oversight from leadership, and from remote (international) locations, which includes effective leadership, time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite with a concentration in Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred
  • Proficient and experienced in the use and implementation of typical CRM tools such as DELTEK and Sales Force
  • Knowledge of the Shipley capture lifecycle or equivalent capture processes, and experience in serving as a capture manager for international pursuit and capture efforts
  • Strong business/business development reporting, project management and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to develop effective relationships and operate with all levels of the corporation
