Position Description

SRCTec, LLC is currently seeking a senior electronics technician for second shift to support SRCTec manufacturing. Activities will include layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modification of production systems, parts and equipment including digital and analog sub systems and systems. Testing and troubleshooting will be done at the unit and system level.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble experimental circuitry and complete builds of development systems, pre-production, and limited production systems according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components
  • Test, troubleshoot and repair electronic warfare, radar and communication systems using electronic and radio frequency (RF)-based test equipment, applying principles and theories of electronics and electrical circuitry in an International Organization for Standardization (ISO)-compliant environment
  • Set up standard test apparatus and/or build test fixtures, cables and other circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of production units and systems

Position Requirements
  • Minimum of an associate degree in a technical specialty, such as electronics technology, electrical engineering technology, or other technology degree from an accredited educational institution
  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical area is desirable
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience, either military or civilian, will be considered
  • Six or more years of related experience working in, and facilitating work in, an electronics lab environment with a proven record of success meeting expectations, schedules, cost and following process
  • Ability to effectively communicate status, technical issues, and general information by various means at all levels in a team-oriented environment
  • Must be able to read, understand and interpret electronic schematics, electronic drawings, mechanical drawings, test and assembly instructions, and specifications
  • Ability to hand-solder complex narrow pitch surface-mount devices and similar packages, and be able to assemble and test RF cables such as SMA, N-type and other cable/harness connectors
  • J-Standard certification preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with setting up and operating test equipment including oscilloscopes, RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and other types of test equipment
  • Proficient with hand tools used for assembly and maintenance of systems; may operate drill press, band saw, shear, brake, hand drills, or other tools to fabricate parts, brackets, terminal boards and chassis
  • Must have general computer skills including MS Office Word and Excel
  • Must be able to meet occupational requirements including the ability to lift, move and walk with 40 lbs
