Position Description

SRCTec, LLC is currently seeking an integrated logistics support (ILS) engineer to join our ILS team. The ILS engineer will be responsible for performing a variety of logistics engineering projects and tasks such as technical writing, training development and logistics support analyses. In addition, the ILS engineer will be responsible for training conduct and field support, as required. 


  • Research, organize and prepare technical data for use in documentation such as operator manuals, maintenance manuals, interactive electronic technical manuals (IETM), and technical bulletins in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards
  • Perform maintenance planning and logistics support analyses, level of repair analysis (LORA), data analysis, and other supportability analyses
  • Analyze engineering data (such as drawings, schematics, reports, etc.) and engineering/manufacturing change proposals for impact to logistics documentation and analyses
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of prepared information by interfacing with engineering, manufacturing and product support personnel to validate procedures and data in order to identify missing, inconsistent, or incorrect information or data
  • Interface with government and military customers to ensure timely review and delivery of logistics products and verify that they meet contractual requirements
  • Develop training materials and performance measurement methods in accordance with DoD standards
  • Conduct classroom and field instruction and training for assigned programs and products in accordance with DoD practices and contractual requirements, as required
  • Perform field support for assigned programs and products, including system installation, as required

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with five or more (5+) years of technical writing or logistics engineering experience in the DoD sector; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Project leadership experience
  • Proven ability to write clear, concise and structured technical documents and help systems
  • Experience writing documentation plans and maintaining document schedules
  • Ability to collect data from a variety of sources including specifications, schematics, interviews and hands-on product use
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of military standard (MIL-STD) specifications and familiarity with their use and application
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products for word processing, text editing, graphics, creating presentations, etc.
  • Familiarity with IETM development, authoring and maintenance
  • Familiarity with the U.S. Army’s Systems Approach to Training (SAT) format
  • Must be able to work efficiently and effectively within a collaborative team environment and possess strong organizational, project management, and communications skills
  • Experience using SGML/HTML/XML in the development and delivery of technical documentation and training products is strongly preferred
  • Experience with radar and data communication system installation processes and procedures is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with DoD radar products, programs, users and customers is strongly preferred
  • Field experience in supporting live test events and other program field activities is strongly preferred
  • Travel is required
